Agentic AI expert for Model-Based Engineering (Leased Contract)
Short summary:
Fibonacci Research Center plays a leading role within Huawei Group in researching new technologies and applications in the field of digital power and electric vehicles. The company is looking for an expert to enlarge its team in charge of developing next-generation Model-Based Design tools. In this role, you will be a system engineer improving simulation, code and diagram generation of the existing tools through the integration of the latest AI agentic technologies. You will be joining a dynamic and highly collaborative team of experts and PhDs passionate about research projects and innovative solutions.
Position Responsibilities:
Support the technological evolution of proprietary MBD tools towards AI-assistance, large-scale efficient simulation, optimized code and test generation.

Mandatory requirements:
• M.Sc in Engineering or Computer Science. PhD preferred
• Excellent knowledge of both Java and Python programming languages.
• Experience with AI frameworks (e.g., langchain, langgraph, docling, Pytorch, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with AI coding agents, e.g., Claude Code, OpenCode, Codex or others.
• Experience with OpenAI API, MCP servers, Tool calling
• Experience on agentic patterns, prompt engineering, chain of thought
• Experience in building efficient multi-agent AI architectures (including RAG, orchestration and tool calling) and integration into existing products
• Analysis and performance optimization (i.e. latency, scalability, token efficiency) of complex LLM distributed pipelines.
• Familiarity with model-based engineering concepts (e.g., UML, Simulink/Stateflow diagrams).
• Know-how on software testing, especially regression testing.
• Excellent communication, own initiative, teamwork and product-oriented mindset.
• Fluency in English and ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
• Availability to travel in Europe and in China.
Optional, but nice to have, requirements:
• Expertise in model-to-text, text-to-model and model-to-model transformations.
• Experience on reinforcement learning, model quantization, distillation and fine tuning.
• RTOS or control/vehicle software development experience are preferred.
• Strong knowledge of C++
• Experience with the Eclipse-Modeling Framework (EMF).
• Experience with MLOps, especially in setting up private LLM deployments with vLLM.
• Knowledge of CI/CD frameworks.

We offer a gross annual salary typically starting from €47,000, with the final compensation determined based on objective criteria such as professional experience, competencies, and seniority. The applicable collective bargaining agreement is the CCNL Telecommunications, Level C3.
